Kenneth Ludden was appointed personally by Fonteyn in 1979 and spent the next 12 years until her death preparing him and forming the Academy that would carry that legacy. In 2020, Mr. Ludden appointed Rainer Krenstetter as Fonteyn Legacy Surrogate Designate to carry on after him when he is no longer able to fulfill his duties.
