But when he ends up billeted with the vivacious Mary Stavin and her kind family, things start looking up - as long as Mary's parents don't get wind of the teenage drama unfolding beneath their noses. A coming of age tale of the first twenty years of a young man's life, 'Autobiography of a Nobody' is much more than a simple life story; it offers an insight into a fascinating era of history, told with wit and skill through the eyes of a young boy having to contend with the reality of war as well as all the growing pains of an ordinary teenager.
