Did you know that teddy bears can write? Well . . . maybe with a little help from a human pair of hands. That's the case with this collection of 15 stories. A wonderful old teddy bear, who arrived at the famous toy store F.A.O. Schwartz in New York City back in the 1950's eventually found his way to the home of Ethel Quelland. She named him Baron Wilhelm George Heinrich Karl von Otto the First just because he looked like he should have a very dignified name. He is a bit tattered, and his head droops some from being so well loved by three rambunctious youngsters. He joined our household a few years ago and right away was the head of the family of a couple hundred other teddy bears. With all those bears, who are all different, and a vivid imagination, stories about the goings-on in the house seemed to come out of nowhere. Quite naturally, The Baron was the one to tell them. Are they true? Of course ... teddy bears never lie! They might exaggerate a bit, maybe . . . So . . . dear parents, if you enjoy reading to your children and they love teddy bears, you and your kids will enjoy these stories. They all support strong moral values, helping others and love, but are definitely not "preachy" ... just a few simple life lessons from which we can all benefit. This edition includes color photographs of many of the Baron's friends.Oh, by the way . . . this book is for teddy bear lovers of ALL ages!
