Beyond the Ivy is the sequel to Andrea M. White's debut novel, Under the Ivy. As was the case with her first book, Beyond the Ivy is a murder mystery that takes place at the fictional Wakefield University, located on historic Beacon Hill, in Boston Massachusetts. We return to Wakefield's campus, just a few months after the murder of Vice President Jack Doyle had rocked the school to its very foundation. Much to the dismay of Wakefield's president, Peter Kingston, a body is found on campus, and Boston police detectives Foley and Hunt are, once again, called upon to investigate a complex case.This time, while the president's particular brand of laissez-faire is still a factor, the murder in question can be attributed more to the extracurricular activities of a vicious criminal element that has invaded Wakefield's Ivy covered walls.
