The Lord placed on Dr. Render's heart to provide a Christian social place ("A Time to Share" which later became "The Upper Room"), for people to come and share their innermost fears, struggles, shames, disappointments, hurts and pains. Dr. Render invited the Holy Spirit as her Guest of Honor and along with sharing the promises of God, many who attended, was set free from additions, physical infirmities, emotional strongholds, unbelieving, negative mind-sets and demon possessions by the power of the Holy Spirit. People everywhere that came (children, teenagers, young adults and adults) were all talking about how they left the "Upper Room" knowing that God made them promises and given them a purpose with power! This is where the title of her book originated from the "Upper Room Experiences." As you read this book, you will discover that you have a covenant with God the Father; Creator of the universe and because of His promises, you have a purpose. God gives us the the power to fulfill our destiny here on earth. You will discover the power of God will and can thrust you into your destiny suddenly! Everything He has promised is your God given "birthright" and it shall come to past in your lifetime! He promised! Dr. Render's prayer is that, as you read this life transforming book, your life will be changed and you will know without a shadow of a doubt that you have "Promises" in Jesus name!
