When the U.S. enters the Great War Grace's husband Tom Gray enlists, and Grace and her Overton College friends join the local Red Cross. This fourth entry opens as Grace Harlowe Gray, Red Cross ambulance driver, is aiding a wounded army officer in No Man's Land.
