Gynecological oncology is a specialized field of medicine, which is concerned with the study, diagnosis and management of cancers of the female reproductive system. In gynecological oncology, the surgical removal of the uterine cervix or cervicectomy is performed as a surgical alternative to radical hysterectomy to treat younger women with cervical cancer. To manage necrosis of the clitoris or remove malignancy of the clitoris, a clitoridectomy is performed.
