Dane's fortitude to take in stride countless marital calamities ending in disappointment will bring the reader to a new understanding of courage. Her sense of the absurd never leaves her adrift in sorrow but helps her pursue an underlying conviction Love exists somewhere. It just needs to be found. She refers to herself as suffering from 'spiritual greed' while 'saint hopping' but really her combined optimism and confoundedness make this story 'heart rending and uproarious' and a must read for everyone. Yo-Yo Ma has described her writing as 'Mellifluous' and so sounds the beat of her heart.
