It is a novel of two young Me'dan who fell in love and struggled with their way of life and beliefs. Their simple life centered around the reedbeds, water, canoes and an environment of unmistakable beauty. The plot has a mystical flavor to it. Readers will enjoy and identify with the good nature of these people. Their aspiration in life is simple but the forces that controlled their culture and tradition took them through a series of horrific events when they were about to get married.
