When an old co-worker of Tricky Dick's shows up on his boat one day, he isn't surprised to find a dead body the next, with all signs pointing to his old friend as the newest killer. The last thing Tricky Dick needs when dealing with a dead body, a boss from his past and a mysterious woman in his present is one of his most notorious co-workers to be waiting for him on his boat. Not only is Traitor Vic in town, he's here for good, opening a new rum distillery on the island in an effort to go legit. That plan goes to hell when a dead body is fished out of one of the stills, and Tricky Dick just happens to be then when it does. Believing it no coincidence, Tricky's old boss and current Key West police chief gives him 24 hours to come up with some leads. Soon Tricky is being followed by unknown people as he tracks the anonymous killer of an unidentified victim, all the while keeping Traitor Vic and the Chief from knowing each other is on the island. It is only when he finds out who the victim is that the full weight of the crime becomes obvious and gives him the greatest shock of his life. That is, until he finds out who Scooter really was... "Traitor Vic's Rum Punch is the second entry in the Tricky Dick Key West Mystery series, picking up the action from where the first volume, "Talk Murder To Me" left off.
