In 1904 he renounces his allegiance to Scotland to become a U.S. Citizen, and he and Bonnie buy a farm in southern Illinois. Thomas is a stern but loving father whose strong religious faith guides him through the trials of raising six children in the early 1900s.True Allegiance is an endearing story of love and loss, inheritance and redemption, and finding peace for conflicting emotions.
