Mike Davis is an ordinary guy whose computer skills far exceed his social ones. His work is his life even though his job leaves him empty. As an added bonus Jane, Mike and her friend Billy embark upon a quest into a strange new video game called Vortex Portal.The game entices its players into a next-level, bleeding-edge, totally immersive adventure then springs its trap. Sparks fly, darkness falls and the three awaken to find themselves in a world totally different from their own. Monsters are real, magic works and players don't re-spawn after death. Survival means escape and even that might not be enough.
